Auralite 23

Auralite 23 is one of my absolute favourite crystals. I was drawn to this stone immediately when I saw it at my local crystal shop many years ago. I picked it up from the shelf and held it in my hands. Immediately my body exploded in goosebumps. I felt this whoosh of energy come over me. The lady standing next to me felt the energy as well. She looked at me and said, "I think that crystal is meant for you." Since then I have added a few more pieces to my collection.

Auralite 23 comes from a mine near Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It was discovered in 2007. The mine owner noticed these Amethyst contained different colours and named these crystals "Auralite" after the aura borealis. The number 23 was added to the name after undergoing testing. It was discovered, that up to 23 mineral inclusions could be found within the Amethyst. Auralite 23 is considered a rare variety of Amethyst.

Even though it was only recently discovered, it is estimated that Auralite 23 was formed around 1.2- 1.5 billion years ago. Making it one of the earth's oldest minerals.

Auralite 23 is also referred to as 'Red Cap Amethyst'.

Auralite 23 is an incredible stone to work with. It has high vibrational energy but also helps to stay grounded within our bodies. It works well with all chakras to bring balance and harmony but has a strong connection to the crown and third eye chakra.
