Preparing for a Reiki Session
To help you get the most out of your session, here are a few simple steps to prepare:
When booking your first session, be sure to fill out the form provided in the initial appointment slot.
Arrive on time to ensure you have the full healing experience.
Wear loose, comfy clothing that you feel relaxed in.
Avoid alcohol or recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your session to ensure the energy flows smoothly.
Drink plenty of water before and after your session to support your body during the healing process.
Be open to the healing experience to allow the energy to flow freely.
Avoid a heavy meal before your session to help you feel more comfortable and relaxed.
What You Might Experience During The Session
Reiki works in its own unique way for each person, so your experience may vary.
Here’s what you might feel:
A sensation of cold or warmth
A gentle tingling feeling
Deep relaxation
A release of emotions which could look like laughter or even tears
Colours or visuals may come to mind
Or maybe, nothing at all, and that’s perfectly fine!
Just because you don’t feel anything doesn’t mean the energy isn’t working. Reiki energy flows where it’s needed most in your body, even if you don’t sense it in the moment. Every session is different, and you might have different experiences each time.
After the session
Here are a few things you can do to support your healing after the session:
Drink plenty of water to help the energy integrate
If you can, take some time to relax and reflect on the experience
Nourish your body with wholesome, healthy food
