My Morning Coffee Ritual
Mornings are my sacred time, a little window of peace before the day gets busy. I make it a point to wake up just a bit earlier than I need to so I can savour that first cup of coffee in quiet, before I wake up my girls and start the morning routines. This small practice of being present with myself has become a cherished and meaningful part of my day.
Here’s my simple morning ritual
As I wait for my coffee to brew, I place my hand on my heart, close my eyes, and take a few deep breaths. It’s my way of grounding into my body and creating a sense of calm before everything picks up.
Once my coffee is ready, I set an intention for the day. I think about what I want to feel or call in—maybe it’s clarity, connection, or joy. Before I stir my coffee, I hold that intention in my mind, and as I stir clockwise, I say it aloud (or sometimes quietly to myself).
Finally, I tap my spoon on the edge of my mug three times, saying “thank you” with each tap. It’s my way of sealing the intention and practising a moment of gratitude for this quiet time.
This little ritual only takes a few minutes, but it sets the tone for my day. It’s a simple reminder to stay present, grounded, and intentional, even when life gets busy. It’s my way of nurturing myself before I nurture everyone else.
P.S. In my next blog post, I’ll share a deeper look into my morning ritual where I connect with my spirit team. I can’t wait to show you how I set up my space and start the day with intention and guidance.
